Brisbane-based technology company Redman Solutions has been named as a finalist in the 2018 International All-Star Awards, which recognises champion players of the ‘Great Game Of Business’ across the globe.
The Great Game Of Business is a widely-acclaimed open-book management methodology developed in the US by entrepreneur Jack Stack. The Game, as it’s commonly referred to, is about creating a high-performance culture to drive business results, through the principles of transparency and ownership.
A provider of digital transformation solutions for local government across Australia and New Zealand, Redman Solutions implemented the Great Game Of Business methodology in their own business in 2012 coming off the back of lack-lustre performance that had the owners looking for new ways to connect their team with the business’s success.
They’re on to a winning game-plan; since playing The Game the company has doubled their gross revenue and increased their gross profit margin by over 10%.
The Game hasn’t just impacted the financial results. CEO Michael Redman says “The Game has had a huge impact on our culture; the team is more open to learning and adopting new ideas, and they’re now connected to the numbers – they can see how they impact the numbers and have started to think like business owners.”
“They are also connected to our strategy and actively participate in crafting, refining or experimenting with it in our quarterly huddles,” Redman said.
“Numbers aside, this is now our business.”
Redman Solutions is one of over a dozen Game Players based in Australia and the Asia-pacific region, supported by Great Game of Business certified coach Adam Dierselhuis of Faculte3.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony during the Gathering of Games Annual Conference held in Dallas, Texas, in September.
