With 2017 underway, a priority for many businesses in the first month of the year is conducting planning / performance reviews with team members.

It’s a rewarding exercise helping team members to look forward and articulate their goals and aspirations for the six months to come (in our own business we run on a six monthly program, supported by monthly mentoring).

While there are many career planning and performance review materials available, we use a STOP, START, MORE, LESS model with our team members. I also use the model myself as it’s a simple and highly effective framework to create focus and to align the development actions needed to take me towards my goals.

Put simply, for me to attain my goals / get what I want – what do I need to STOP, START, do MORE of, do LESS of?
